An unkempt, hungry man panhandles in front of the giant bronze shaped like a grain of rice outside HSBC. A bread bun, tossed by a kind passerby into his golden begging bowl, calls to mind the shape of a yuan bao/ 元宝 (Chinese gold ingot), which hints at his identity. This is Caishan, the God of Wealth.
